Hola,
I am Melissa Apolaya, a versatile human being with a passion for design, simplicity, and raw materials. I studied architecture in Lima and later traveled to Munich, Germany, to specialize in landscape architecture. Inspired by the diverse and rich landscapes of Peru, my home country, I am motivated to create spaces that harmonize with the natural world while making the most of available materials and resources.
My journey has taken me from working in architecture offices and construction management to hands-on work with rural communities, promoting social and environmental change. Beyond landscape architecture, I have a deep love for construction and manual work. I have experience in furniture design, carpentry, sketching, and collage, which allows me to bring a unique and creative perspective to every project.
Currently based in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco, I am available to travel for collaborations and opportunities. Reach out to me to create innovative solutions that emphasize design, material efficiency, and cultural exchange.
